About Eric

Hello,

My name is Eric Wilson, and I live in Orlando, Florida. This wasn’t always the case, as I met my wife in Buffalo, New York (Southern Canada) back in 1996. We married in 1999, moved to Detroit a year later and in 2005 our Son Aidan joined us. Unconditional love for my son, and the urgent need to keep him safe at all times, has brought a new awareness to my work as a Broadcast Meteorologist. There is nothing more un-nerving than talking about a tornado or severe weather in the neighborhood where I know he is playing with his friends; it is because of him I want to reach out and post everything I know regarding severe weather. Often, the amount of information available from the internet can be overwhelming…and in turn unsettling.

My goal here is to inform, empower and reduce confusion. This is where you will find the thinking behind not just the forecast, but really anything I am pondering.

Because we live in Florida, during the Hurricane Season most of the posts here will be on the Tropics. Often Hurricanes find few experts, but here you will find the coallescence of what everyone is thinking, including myself, put together in a comprehensive presentation. You don’t have to be an expert, yet translating the language of weather can be a challenge. Allow me the privilege of providing you this service. During the Hurricane Season especially, understanding the patterns and trends will help anyone who wants to know the factors which go into the ongoing forecasting process.

Also, to save room I will put together loops and images with highlighted text in order to give you the most resources possible. In the business of broadcasting, much is left on the plate due to time restraints. It is here you will find everything often left unsaid during any broadcast presentation.

I also have a website which promotes my own company Global Weather Technologies, Inc which was built for you.

I hope you enjoy reading the work here as much as I do in preparing it.

Eric

I am back…keep watching for the fox. Tis all I can say right now.
I have missed you too. Spread the word, it helps my rating locally if people want me back and puts me on top of a very short list.
With your help, I can return sooner than later.
      My best, always.
      Eric
